As Commander Rampageous One so clearly articulates in his recent post, the galaxy is facing a very real alien threat. The findings of our research division demonstrate clearly why Labour of Rhea has prioritized our Guardian Technology expeditions.
Although there are many unknowns, we should push aside our fears and walk bravely into the void to meet the challenge. History can serve as a guide for bravery. Three brave female resistance fighters grace my exploration and recovery ships with their names.
My Diamondback Explorer is named after Hannie Schaft, also known as “the girl with the red hair,” who was placed on the Nazis’ most-wanted list. Hannie started her resistance efforts by sabotaging and assassinating various targets. Her targets included pro-Nazi Germans, Dutch Nazis, collaborators, and traitors to democracy. She learned to speak German fluently in order to seduce German soldiers and lure them to their deaths. She was selective in her choice of targets and refused any assignment that would put children at risk. Hannie was executed by Dutch Nazi officials on April 17, 1945 after being captured transporting secret documentation for the Resistance.
My Hauler and Adder are named after two sisters who proudly resisted fascist occupation. My Hauler is named after the younger sister, Hantze Plotnicka, who delivered sermons about the importance of staying human in the face of fascist cruelty, while also acting as a courier for the resistance.
My Adder is named after the older sister, Frumka Plotnicka, who was only 25 years old when she became a leading member of the Jewish resistance. She reported on Nazi atrocities in the ghettos and donned disguises and fake identities to avoid detection. She was the first resistance fighter to smuggle weapons into the Warsaw Ghetto. Frumka refused to escape Nazi-occupied territory, and instead chose to stay and continue the fight against the fascists. She died in August 1943, at the age of 29, while leading an uprising against the Germans as they prepared to murder the Bedzin Ghetto people.
All three of these ships are excellent for archeological digs. They have small footprints which allows them to land in very tight spots around Guardian sites. They can all be equipped with SRV bays, point defense turrets, and cargo racks. Haulers, Adders, and the necessary equipment to outfit them for Guardian technology recovery work can be purchased on fleet carrier Democracy.
