On a recent expedition, I encountered a civilization ship.  After deciphering the ship’s logs, the story of this fallen civilization is a tragedy and warning for others.  I hope in another iteration these people make better choices.

It appears the former inhabitants had fallen for the lies, disinformation, and propaganda of a strongman leader.  The strongman practiced fascism and it did not take long for his followers to become a fascist political movement.  They lied about losing elections and worked to undermine the pillars of democracy that gave them their freedoms.  A more cruel and evil fascist leader arose to oust the previous strongman.  This fascist was able to take control of election machinery and stole the presidency with help from his followers that believed any election they lost was illegitimate.  Within 10 years, the civilization was no longer a democracy.

The fascist followers were initially happy, but it did not take long for the most loyal fascists to turn their ire on the conservative people that helped to enable the fascist’s rise to power.  They banned firearms for all but the fascist police.  The fascist police outlawed science, enacted a harsh religious autocracy, and imprisoned any person that did not do what the president, now dictator, ordered.

For fascism to survive it must always create new “enemies” to hate.  After the fascists had imprisoned all their “hated others,” they continued to divide the population along ridiculous lines. Once enough of the population was imprisoned, then the fascists ratcheted up the cruelty and started extrajudicial killings of all who opposed their rule. Initially, they lied and claimed they were only executing “drug dealers,” but the truth was they were executing the people they hated and their political opposition. Within a few generations, the people were subdued and unable to fix actual problems. With science outlawed in favor of an authoritarian religion and whatever the dictator said was “true,” it was not long before the people destroyed their world with massive pollution and climate change.

Truly a cautionary tale for any person that believes fascism, the most evil political ideology to ever exist, is the answer to their social and political concerns.

Real freedom loving patriots must combat fascism wherever it is found. It is a philosophy for people that are deluded and dangerous.
