Commanders,

As I put Democracy in orbit, near Carter Port in the Rhea system, for the last time, I could not help but reminisce. I am so proud of all your efforts in fighting for democracy throughout the Federation.  We accomplished a lot as an organization over the years.  You have my undying gratitude.

Democracy is set for decommission on 5/12/3308.  My last act was to remove the Madeline AI to preserve her intelligence and keep her safe.  Someday, she may be reborn again. We shall see. If/when that time occurs, I will be proud to serve with you again, but not as your Liberator, since I will be retiring from that role.  I have chosen to go through what MAKE believes to be the Raxxla portal to a wonderous new world I have discovered and named New Rhea.  I look forward to many new adventures with those commanders that also choose this path.

As I turn out the lights, on a now vacant shell of Democracy, I cannot help but chuckle.  Our new enemy, Ancient Legio, caught a lucky, but also unlucky, break.  Their sad group of mercenaries never beat our elite pilots in battle. Not once. They were always outgunned and outmatched.  Our spreadsheets indicated we would have destroyed their empire in about five months.  Their organization of criminals would have been gutted, but, as it is, they will continue to fight for ground, unopposed, in a galaxy that is dying.  The thought humors me and I chuckle in glee. What a waste of time they have “won.”  I hope they enjoy the pointless grind.

Meanwhile, I look forward to enjoying a new multiverse where fun, adventure, and unlimited exploration and discovery awaits.
