As I travelled the multiverse this cycle, I ran across a couple more data packets from a past iteration.

The warnings for this civilization were clear. They had a choice: support the defenders of democracy or lower themselves to their base animal instincts and collaborate with fascists to destroy their freedoms.

If these sentient beings chose wrong on their November 8th, which appears to have been a very important day of choice for them, then I fear the very worst things came about in their iteration.  Fascism always leads to dystopia.
